Mmm…soft shell crab. Honestly? The Shop Tart will go on record as saying that Ricky Mollohan of Cellar on Greene, Mr. Friendly’s and Solstice makes the best d*mn soft shell in the world. Fried, sauteed or steamed, he manages to keep the essence of fresh marsh intact. And the Shop Tart is feeling quite clever, as she managed to parlay her WACH Fox gig into a private soft shell crab brunch on a Monday morning at Cellar on Greene. (And, yes, Ricky knew exactly what she was up to, but he let her get away with it, for which she thanks him!)
